Okyeame Kwame says people should accept small beginnings

Hiplife artiste, Okyeame Kwame has rebuked the seemingly quest of people to become rich overnight.

He made these comments in an interview with Abrantepa on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, while explaining the concept of his song.

“The song has three themes. First, let’s accept that nothing is small. Secondly, the phrase, ‘I love you’ has lost its value. Let’s take gradual steps in our love journey. And finally, let’s accept that everything is a process. So you can’t just move from class one to become a millionaire. You have to pass through the mill,” he said.

“Let’s look at the lyrics of the song: If you want to walk with me, first learn to crawl with me. If you want to run with me, learn to walk with me. If you want to fly with me, learn to run with me. And if you want to land with me, you might have flown with me.The music is discussing the fact that we shouldn’t forget that there are processes in life. We’ve all thrown out these processes. The concept of becoming rich quickly is becoming too prevalent," Okyeame Kwame added.

Small Small, a track produced by Appietus is a fusion of Afrobeats, jazz, French pop and a bit of trap sounds. It was recorded live by the Patch Bay Band. The song features Lynx Entertainment’s act, MzVee.

According to Okyeame Kwame, the song has most of its lyrics in pidgin because he is looking forward to market it not only in Ghana but in East Africa.
