One-On-One with Ebaby Kobby

U.S based Ghanaian Internet sensation, Ebaby Kobby, has shared with Pulse TV in a one-on-one interview about how he started comedy which shot him to fame within a short period of time.

The actor who gained over 100k followers on Instagram within 6 months said "I started comedy three (3) years ago with a social media app called Kik. I use to sit back and watch videos but Liwin (Ghanaian comic actor) inspired me because I liked the way he acts. I incorporated that with the funny parts of my parents' lifestyle.

"So, I started doing videos (skits) based on that and that's how it all started."

Recounting how his first few vignettes earned him numerous gigs, Ebaby divulged "I started making videos just for fun a few years ago. And just last year (2014), people started booking me for university and African nights shows. Within the period of 5 months, I performed in 17 schools and earned a lot of money."

Touching on how he gets concepts for his skits, he told Pulse TV, "90% of my videos come from real life stuffs. Like 'I sit in a car with my mum and I will be playing Gospel music. Then when I see her sleeping, I will change it to Hip-hop and she will immediately wake up yelling at me'."
