Elikem proposed to Pokello at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when the two were on stage to present the award for Best Collaboration of the Year.

Speaking to Amanda Jissih on E-Talk, the Zimbabwean socialite, said she is naturally shy and that made her not enjoy the proposal.

“I was so angry when Elikem proposed to me in public. Aside from my public dealings, lots of people don’t know I’m the shy type. I wasn’t happy at all with the public proposal thing. I didn’t enjoy it,” she said.

Elikem met Pokello during their time in the Big Brother Africa 2013 house in South Africa. While Elikem was representing Ghana, Pokello was representing Zimbabwe. He proposed to her at the 2014 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards when the two were on stage to present the award for Best Collaboration of the Year.

They got married in June 2015 and currently have a baby.

It would be recalled that Elikem made it pubic that he paid $25,000 as bride price for Pokello.

“I paid a lot of money and before you pay such money for a lady’s hand in marriage you have to be sure she’s the one. Otherwise you will be a silly young man throwing a lot of money away. So it feels good to be married to the right woman. It feels amazing. No mistakes or regrets whatsoever… I initially didn’t want to make this information public but people are getting figures wrong so I want to correct it. The lobola (Bride price for a traditional marriage in Zimbabwe) was 25,000 US Dollars. A deposit of 20,000 US Dollars was paid on Saturday and the 5,000 US Dollars balance is to be paid by the white wedding,” he told Peacefmonline.com
