Blakk Rasta slams Sarkodie

According to him, the Illuminati rapper had a humble beginning. However, he seems to be carried away by fame and has consequently been praising himself any time he grants interviews

Radio presenter and musician, Blakk Rasta says rapper Sarkodie is filled with arrogance.

According to him, the  rapper had a humble beginning. However, he seems to be carried away by fame and has consequently been praising himself any time he grants interviews.

Blakk Rasta’s comments came in the wake of accusations by American rapper, Ace Hood that Sarkodie lied about events leading to a recent collaboration to produce a song called “New Guy.”

Sarkodie had in an interview with Bola Ray said Ace Hood contacted him for the collaboration. However, Ace Hood in a tweet denied Sarkodie’s claims saying, he [Ace Hood] agreed to join the project after a whopping $25, 000 hit his account.

Speaking on Storm FM, Blakk Rasta attributed Sarkodie’s actions to pride.

“This is the first time I’m commenting on this issue. When I first heard about it, I was so down hearted. Sarkodie started recently and was very humble. But these days when you listen to his interviews, you will hear some traces of arrogance in him. Self-praise and pride is his problem now because you hear him talk about Ace Hood looking around Africa and he was the one chosen. Ghana’s entertainment is relying too much on hype and that’s why these things keep repeating itself.

“I listened to the interview…. even if Ace Hood called you and you ended up advising him, why come say all that on radio? It’s pride and I’m disappointed in him. Whenever I meet him, I will as a brother advise him on the direction he is going.”

He added that, Ace Hood’s rebuttal was spot on.

“The reaction of Ace Hood was understandable because even if he called you, you don’t have to sit on radio and try to raise yourself above him. We don’t know who is speaking the truth but even if he invited you, why do you say it?” he wondered.
