Why Minaj's boyfriend is the real winner in the Twitter feud

Drake might be slaying Meek on the diss tracks, but there are reasons to believe Meek is the real winner here.

This might not be your typical Tupac-Biggie or JayZ-Nas beef, but this is the most talked about beef in hip-hop right now and its happening where you'd expect, Social Media.

Drake had us all charged up over the weekend when he released a diss track to Meek Mill titled 'Charged Up'. One which was met with silence from the Meek corner.

That's not all.

Drake on Wednesday dropped something else for Meek he called 'Back to Back'. It really was a back to back below-the-belt.

But while Drake might be winning on the mic, there are reasons to believe Meek is winning in the bank.

Former Senior Adviser to President Barack Obama, Dan Pfeiffer believes Philadelphia rapper Meek baiting Drake simply 'brilliant marketing'.

In fact, the Hip-hop loving Mayor of Toronto, Norm Kelly, tweeted at Meek telling him he was not welcome in Toronto;

Although he was quick to reply that it wasn't a complete ban following reports the Philly rapper had been banned.

Back to Pfeiffer.

The former White House man whose expertise includes political strategy, suggests that Meek might have benefited from the beef he initiated to draw more attention to the "Dreams Worth More Than Money" album he released a week before the beef began to draw more attention to the album.

Meek Mill has been the most talked about artist on Social Media, especially Facebook and Twitter, and it is expected that his album will be talked about almost as much.

His video which was released on Monday, "All Eyes On You", featuring Minaj and Chris Brown, has certainly gained publicity from the whole spat with the more popular Drake.

Meek performed in Toronto yesterday and to the disappointment of some fans, he didn't release a Drake diss.

Meek's album is currently No. 7 on Billboard's top 200 chart, while Drake's latest album "If You're Reading This it's Too Late" is No. 13.

Both albums peaked at No. 1 upon their release — Meek's on July 11 and Drake's on Feb. 13.

In the tweet that sparked the feud, Meek addresses Drake not tweeting out his album, in which the Toronto MC is featured, and claims that Drake "don't write his own raps" and that had he known this, he would never have asked Drizzy to be a guest artist on his album.

Drake is featured on Meeks' "Dreams Worth More Than Money" in the track "R.I.C.O.," which is now No. 16 on this week's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

In his first diss track "Charged Up," Drake slams Mill for riding the coattails of girlfriend Nicki Minaj.
