The managers of the President’s twitter handle may have had a lapse in judgment for posting this.

It is interesting that a birthday tweet was sent to Afia Schwarzenegger just when the dirty war of insults between her and MP for Assin North Kennedy Agyepong, knowing very well that the beginning of the war of insults dates back to a comment Agyepong made against the President’s brother, Ibrahim Mahama and the President himself.

The tweet could be interpreted to mean the President is very much in support of the war of words that was between the two. The tweet, according to social media watchers could also be the president’s way of congratulating Schwarzenegger for trading insults with the NPP MP.

The president could have placed a simple call to the young woman to send his birthday wishes.

If the President wants to prove his neutrality in this case, he may have to start wishing every celebrity a happy birthday. Also the managers of the first gentleman’s social media accounts need to get serious. It needs no telling that their tweets and posts reflect a great deal on the image of the President John Mahama.
