According to a publication by Flex Newspaper, although Mr Adjorlolo admits that the industry has challenges which ought to be solved, it does not merit the description given by some people.

“The industry is not dead, structures are what we lack and until we put them in order we will never have a good and lucrative movie industry,” he is quoted to have said.

Mr Adjorlolo has called for the introduction of new faces as actors to blend with the old.

“We need to work again to revive our industry through good content in our movies and try to introduce young and talented up and coming actors into the game to break the monopoly of actors in our movies,” he said.

Kofi Adjorlolo has featured in countless number of movies including Ties That Bind, Single and Married, God Loves Prostitutes, Mummy's Daughter and Ghana Must Go.

Actress and movie producer, Bibi Bright not long ago also remarked that the movie industry is experiencing a decline and needed to be redemption.

“The movie industry is terrible now, gone are those days when it was fruitful and every movie or production put out there sold. The industry is on its knees now and I do not believe this is due to the type of movies we put out. I believe this decline started with the period of load-shedding and has continued till now,” she told Graphic Showbiz.

“It got to a time when the Nigerians were running the game, it got passed down to us and we took over but we have lost the momentum and the Nigerians are taking over once again. It’s terrible now but hopefully, things are going to get better soon. This is of great concern for some of us because acting is not only a job, it’s our passion, life and dream that we live. We pray that things improve soon,” she added.
