KKD compares himself to Jesus Christ

KKD says he would put the past behind him and move on in life.

 

Ace broadcaster Kwesi Kyei Darkwah popularly known as KKD who was accused of allegedly raping a 19-year-old girl said he was thankful to God for saving him from people he described as persecutors.

KKD speaking at a thanksgiving service in Accra said, “Whatever has happened in my life is in the past. I look forward to the future with hope. Not too long ago, I was a suspect, now I am a prospect.”

He said, “People hoped that I will die; some people hoped that I will fail, 30 years ago. Do I have to go their homes to change their minds”? he asked.

KKD said even Jesus Christ was accused severally.

The fashion icon was accused by a 19-year-old lady, Ewuraffe Thompson of rape in December 2014.

He was arrested by the Airport Police Command after the lady lodged a complaint following the incident at the Africa Regent Hotel.

He was discharged on charge of rape levelled against him by His Lordship Philip Bright Mensah, presiding over the High Court (Fast Track Division), Accra after the state filed a Nolle Prosequi ("An intention not to prosecute") in the matter.
