Socrates Safo is no different from Shatta Wale - Okraku-Mantey

Okraku-Mantey on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz said Socrates, who is now a member of Shatta Wale’s team, cannot advise him because he is as inconsistent as the artiste.

Movie Producer, Socrates Sarfo

Chief Executive Officer of Slip Music, Mark Okraku-Mantey has stated that movie producer, Socrates Safo possesses a trait similar to Shatta Wale.

Okraku-Mantey speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz said Socrates, who is now a member of Shatta Wale’s team, cannot advise him because he is as inconsistent as the artiste.

His comments came on the back of Wale’s decision to be a part of the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards after he boycotted it last year.

“People like Socrates won’t direct the young man well because Socrates himself has a similar weakness. Someone says he should apologise. How many times will you apologise? You apologise and the following morning, you are dissing the person you apologised to yesterday. It gives an impression that he is not stable,” he told host, KMJ.

“My little challenge with Shatta Wale is that, he is building a bad brand for himself. And the brand is inconsistency. Today he’s saying this, the next day he’s saying that, the following day he is saying this. When people are not stable, dealing with them becomes difficult. He’s putting everybody in a tough situation,” Okraku-Mantey noted.

Shatta Wale has taken back his words concerning his stands on the annual Ghana Music Awards. He earlier decided to boycott the event and all its related activities after organisers, Charterhouse, took him to court on charges of defamation.

The artiste and his team on Wednesday submitted works for consideration for the 2016 edition of the awards. According to him, he did so after numerous calls from his fans.
