My success this year can’t be equated to my loss – Stonebwoy

Speaking on Citi FM’s Traffic Avenue on Tuesday, Stonebwoy said his mother’s death was a great loss.

Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy says although this year has been his most successful year, it cannot be equated to what he lost.

“No doubt that this has been my best year as long as I know that I put in work. I tried to put in a lot of work amidst everything. The seeds have been sown from day so if the flowers are blooming today… Amidst the best of news, I’ve also had the wickedest news anyone can have. It can’t be equated to the bad news. I don’t want to sound like I don’t appreciate; I do appreciate to the max but checking what I’ve lost, all I’ve gained cannot bring back what I have lost,” he said.

Stonebwoy’s mother kicked the bucket on July 29, 2015 at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra after an unconfirmed ailment.

The late Catherine Satekla, according to reports, was rushed to the hospital for treatment but could not survive. Stonebwoy could not get the chance to share his last words because he was outside the country when the sad incident occurred.

It would be recalled that the 2015 BET Best International Africa Act staged a free concert at Mandela Park, Ashiaman on August 8, in honour of his late mother.

She was buried on September 5, 2015.
