Shatta Wale lashes out at Charterhouse over Ghana Music Awards

Shatta Wale, who has been at loggerheads with Charterhouse believes he was unfairly treated after he was not nominated for last year's Ghana music awards.

He made the statement in an interview with Doreen Avio on Let’s Talk Entertainment (LTE) on JOY News.

His comments come after he was adjudged Artiste of the Year at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards UK organised by Aordia Promotions and West Coast UK.

"If they will repent and ask for forgiveness and stop the wickedness and hatred, I will be there because I want to fulfil what my fans want but I feel they want to block what God has written and they can’t stop it," he said.

Speaking on a wide range of issue about the music industry, Shatta Wale said the industry is lucrative, saying he will urge his children on any day to be part of the industry.

"People should really get more focus on taking music  as a career  and business venture rather than seeing it something flashy for them to partying around," he said.

The ‘Kakai’ hitmaker said he may be the surprise guest at this year's Saminifest hosted by rival Dancehall artiste, Samini.

"I really wanna go so people should watch out maybe I might be the surprise one, maybe I might perform with him," he said.

The two artistes, who had on several occasions thrown jabs - through songs, social media posts and interviews - at each other, are using their influence to call for a peaceful election.

They have urged their fans and Ghanaians in general to maintain the peace the country is enjoying avoiding violence before, during and after the elections.

The artistes after many years of having a go at each other, smoked the peace pipe on social media recently when Shatta Wale turned 32 on October 17.
