The artiste has come under criticismsfor what a section of the public describes as, “abysmal” stage performances.

Speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Kwesi Ernest said criticisms cannot help solve the issue. According to him, the 2016 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Highlife Artiste of the Year needs people who know what stage performance is about to help him improve.

“I can groom him to become a big performer like I have done for Kofi Sarpong. I think Bisa Kdei needs help. He needs our help. You remember we did same for Ofori Amponsah. We kept on saying he is not a performer. We need to support him now because the guy is a big brand. If all of us believe that he has a problem, then instead of bashing him, we should just go and support him,” he told host, KMJ.

“His performance at the VGMA was standard. You could see that he is learning few other things. He can go beyond what he is doing now. I want to support him,” Kwesi Ernest added.

In retrospect, Bisa Kdei in December 2015 indicated that he has improved on his stage performance.

He asked that he should not be compared to other artistes as he was doing his best to make sure he satisfies his fans.

“I will plead with anyone who has that thought to go and watch my stage performance. As an artiste, you need a creative director. I started in the studio, I didn’t start on stage… and I’m learning. I’m opened to criticisms and ideas. I have been able to improve. And I’m doing well,” Bisa said on Pluzz FM’s AM Pluzz.

“I’m not pissed at their criticisms. I welcome them. I might be on stage and think I’m doing the right thing but after I get out, some may have reservations,” he added.
