Okyeame Quophi of the defunct Akyeame music duo, has said that Reggie Rockstone is attacking him over his comments on the Sarkodie concert held at the Apollo Theatre because of bitterness.

Reggie Rockstone responding to Okyeame Quophi’s statement that if history is performing at Apollo, then Akyeame was first to have performed at the venue in 2000 and not Sarkodie who had a show there last Saturday observed on Radio Univers’ mid-morning show, that Quophi feels jealous of the success of Sarkodie.

“And so what? You were first to have performed there so what? Some things are just not necessary to be said. And even if you will, check the timing because the timing can make you look bad. It makes you look jealous. This is Sarkodie’s time,” Reggie said.

Adding: “Another thing Quophi is not telling the people is that Lumba was the headline artiste for that show and you [Akyeame] were the opening act. Sarkodie is not the opening act. He is the headliner and that is historic. So he [Quophi] shouldn’t distort history. He is rather distorting history.”

But Okyeame Quophi told show host, Abrantepa that Reggie should have been the last person to have a say on the matter. He insisted that his intent was to correct history and nothing else.

“Reggie Rockstone wanted to be on that show in 1999/2000 but he couldn’t get that chance. I think Reggie will be the last person for you to talk to about this because is looking at me from the corner of his eyes because of the song I wrote for Ex Doe titled Maba. So he has even blacklisted me in his books,” he said.

performed by hiplife artiste, Ex-Doe took a swipe at Reggie, originator of the genre for his constant use of ‘Oseikrom President’ and extended the attack to his former group partner, Chicago.
