According to GES, 404,800 candidates who wrote this year’s examination have been placed in senior high schools (SHSs) and technical institutes (TIs) in the country.

The GES has asked all heads of schools to ensure no student on their schools’ placement list under the 2015 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) is denied admission.

The admonition comes in the wake of what the GES says is the completion of placement of 92 per cent of the 440,000 candidates who wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The statement signed by the Director-General of the GES, Jacob A. M. Kor also cautioned school heads not to charge unauthorized fees or they will lose their position, urging them to rather manage the admission of students with diligence and professionalism.

It also assured all parents and students that every qualified student will be placed by the end of the exercise, saying the Director, Secondary Education Division and CSSPS Unit were collaborating to resolve any challenge that may arise in the admission process.
