NSS personnel to get professional training in CV writing, work ethics

The National Service secretariat has signed a 5-year partnership agreement with the Association of Certified Accountants Ghana at its Headquarters in Accra, which will provide intensive career development programme for service personnel in order to build their capacity for the job market.

The programme, which will begin from 2016, will also enable NSS personnel receive training on CV writing, time management, personal finance management, professional networking and work ethics.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Executive Secretary of the NSS Dr. Dr. Michael Whyte Kpesah said the initiative follows concerns from employers that many graduates lack the required skills and work ethics for the job market.

He said he had observed that graduates usually struggle to apply classroom work in their various fields of work.

The programme will therefore require personnel to attend two-months intensive training starting from July to September this year.
