The alleged victim is an ex-student of the professor.

According to Seongnam Jungwon police station the abuse began in 2013 when the victim was working as an employee in the professor’s non-profit organization.

The professor, along with three other employees who are also his former students, beat the victim with a baseball bat and other weapons because of ‘professional mistakes’ and ‘poor character’, UK Independent reports.

According to the police statement, the men placed plastic bags over his head and filled them with pepper spray.

They also forced him to eat their faeces and drink their urine from plastic bottles on 16 different occasions.

All three men were arrested alongside the professor, who allegedly also forced his victim to work in a restaurant and collected his salary.

The unnamed victim endured the torture which police called modern slavery, because he hoped the professor would help him become to a professor too.
