The Ghana Water Company has cut supply to the Trafalgar Campus of the University of Health and Allied Sciences, following the University’s failure to pay their water bills.

Some of the students told Accra-based Citi FM that they are forced to go to the Volta Regional Hospital for water.

Others say that they are suffering from diseases as a result of using contaminated water.

The Deputy Public Relations Officer of the School, Ofoe Gator, said the water shortage situation is due to a technical challenge from the Ghana Water Company which is many homes in the area.

But the Ho District Commercial Officer of the company, Mr. Semevor Wisdom, has insisted that “they [University] are owing, that is why we disconnected them… they came protesting that some of them are not owing but we disconnected them so we went to reconnect them yesterday.”
