Superintendent Godfrey Tetteh Adjirakor said the entertainment programme was organised by the Students Representative Council (SRC) to celebrate the SRC Week which took place at the entertainment forecourt of the Professor Anamuah-Mensah Conference Hall in the university.

Superintendent Godfrey Tetteh said the students got angry because one of the main artistes invited to perform decided to end his performance within 15 minutes of mounting the stage.

He said "Infuriated by the act, some of the students are said to have approached the organisers of the programme. Not satisfied with their explanation, the students began to cause confusion and in the process damaged the equipment belonging to the organisers."
