Mahama to inaugurate New Longoro Community SHS

President Mahama in 2012 promised to construct 200 Community Senior High Schools in order to improve access to education by 2016

President Mahama, who is in the Region, as part of his five-day campaign tour is determined to ensure that every Ghanaian child had access to quality education.

Ghana’s 1992 Republican Constitution stipulates that the country must embrace a progressively free Senior High School education ten years upon the coming into being of the Constitution.

President Mahama in 2012 promised to construct 200 Community Senior High Schools in order to improve access to education by 2016 but he had commission 10 of the schools with 123 others in different stages of completion.

The president's campaign started his campaign with a courtesy call on Nana Pemampem Yaw Kagbrese, the 5th Paramount Chief of Yeji Traditional Area and President of Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs.

He is expected to pay a visit and interact with the chiefs and people of Busunya. He will also hold a grand durbar and inaugurate the Krobo Community Day SHS, Techiman North as well pay a courtesy call on Techiman Omanhene.
