Prempeh College to represent Ghana at the World Robotics Olympiad

The Prempeh College Robotics Team has set off to India to represent Ghana at the World Robotics Olympiad set for November 25 to November 27.

The event will take place over the weekend.

The World Robotics Olympiad which is scheduled from November 25 to November 27 in New Delhi is themed “Rap the scrap: Robots for reducing, managing and recycling waste”.

The Prempeh College team representing Ghana at the event earlier this year won the 2016 edition of the Robofest World Championship in Michigan, the United States of America.

The Ghanaian students beat off competition from students in top high schools in China, the United States of America, Canada and India who are hosting the World Robotics Olympiad.

The Prempeh College Robotics team comprised of William Kwabena Gyasi, Kwaku Effa Adu-Ampomah, Emmanuel Gyekye Ata-Penkra, Kelvin Campbell Agbodzah, Samuel Kow Painstil and Jeffrey Jefferson Akyea-Adu.

The team was coached by Peter Agyeman for the Robofest World Championship.
