Bank of Ghana maintains Policy Rate

The policy committee of the Bank of Ghana has maintained the Policy Rate for March at 26%.

This will be the second consecutive time the committee has maintained the policy in reflection with stabilizing current macroeconomic indicators.

Announcing the Policy Rate on Monday, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah said the risks from inflation and exchange appears to have stabilized, while risks from exchange rate still pose a challenge although minimal.

EOCO recovers GHC2.4b in 2015

The Attorney- General and Minister of Justice, Marietta Appiah- Oppong has revealed that the Economic and Organised Crime Office in 2015 investigated 186 economic and organised crimes.

Out of the 186 cases, the department is currently prosecuting 46 cases, and uncovered a total amount of GHC2,419,443.72.

The Attorney-General made these revelations at the inauguration of the new nine- member board of EOCO.
