According to the Offinso North District Executive Officer, Asare Boakye, the district has the potential to support two factories because of the large tomato and cashew plantations that can be found in the area.

The Offinso North District Assembly is garnering for two factories to be setup in the area as part of the new government's industrialisation plan dubbed One District One Factory.

As such, the district would be lobbying the government to help them set up two factories, a tomato processing factory and a cashew processing factory, instead of the one factory that is expected to be implemented as part of the industrialisation programme.

According to him, the district had also set a target of becoming the largest cashew growing area in Ghana within the next decade under the Planting for Food and Jobs programme, another government scheme to increase agriculture production in the country.
