uniBank CEO wins Manager of the Year award

At the same awards ceremony, uniBank received the prestigious Best Enterprises Award for 2015 for its strong position in the national market, its status in international ratings amongst others.

The Europe Business Assembly (EBA) has awarded CEO of uniBank Felix Nyarko-Pong, the ‘Manager of the Year Award – 2015’ (Financial Services Sector) in London, UK, which means he has been given full membership into the International Leaders Club.

At the same awards ceremony, uniBank received the prestigious Best Enterprises Award for 2015 for its strong position in the national market, its status in international ratings amongst others.The Manager of the Year Award for Nyarko-Pong was in recognition for his sterling leadership of the bank in the past five years which has seen the bank grow from its 16th position (out of 26 banks) in 2011, to the 5th biggest bank in Ghana, out of the current 29 banks, in terms of balance sheet size. uniBank also occupies the enviable 27th position in the Top 100 Companies in Ghana - The Ghana Club 100.

READ MORE: uniBank Ghanaian bank supports Operation Smile with $36,000At the august ceremony, Felix awed the assembly with a 10-minute extempore presentation on the achievement of uniBank, its founding father Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and his wife Mrs. Akosua Duffuor for their enterprising prowess that sees the Bank soaring above its peers.

It would be recalled, that in 2012, Felix was awarded the Exceptional Corporate Leadership by Global Leadership Training, USA. He was also the proud recipient of the Africa Prize for Transformational Leadership and Most Outstanding CEO in 2013 by Global Centre for Transformational Leadership.Nyarko-Pong is a recipient of the West African Nobles Award.

He is a Chevening scholar and alumni of the University of Ghana Legon (BSc, Banking & Finance); University of Glasgow Scotland (MBA International Business); Oxford University Saïd Business School (Strategic Leadership). He has attended many other Executive Management and Banking Professional courses.The CEO was grateful to God for His abundant grace and blessings upon his life. He dedicated the awards to his grandmother Adelaide and his two mentors Mrs. Victoria Diaba Seidu and Afia, as she simply prefers to be called.
