Ghana's Sangu Delle Nominated for Young African CEO of the Year

This will be the first time the African CEO Awards has added will be awarding the Young CEO of the Year.

Sangu Delle, CEO of Golden Palm Investments  has been shortlisted for the Young CEO of the Year award in the 2016 African CEO Awards.

Mr. Delle is the only Ghanaian CEO  to be named in the 8- man shortlist which comprises some of the top CEOs on the continent.

 He is mentioned alongside greats like Ashish J. Thakkar, Founder and CEO, MARA GROUP, Gossy Ukanwoke, Founder, BAU R&D
 and Jason Njoku, Co-Founder and CEO, IROKO.

This will be the first time the African CEO Awards will be awarding the Young CEO of the Year.

This  award, which  is in partnership with GE, is awarded to a CEO under 40 who leads an African business that shows great promise according to the following criteria:

 

  • National of one of the 54 African States
  • Be under 40 years of age on the 1st of January 2016
  • The number and size of growth operations over the last two years
  • Strong economic, social and environmental contribution
  • A person with great potential for further growth

At the event, achievements of CEOs and companies in Africa will be honored during the as new category “YOUNG CEO OF THE YEAR” has been introduced and will recognize the achievements of a young and upcoming CEO.

A press release issued indicated that the AFRICA CEO FORUM AWARDS honor companies and investors whose strategies have demonstrated their commitment to play a part in Africa’s growth over the past year.

Six prizes will be announced on  21 March 2016, in the presence of Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank.
