Meet Ramel Int; the wonder kid on Ghana's Club 100

Ramel's story has caught many peoples attention because of their astronomical rise on the ranking, and also for the fact that they are wholly Ghanaian owned.

 

The Ghanaian business sub sector is not having enough of the success story of the wholly Ghanaian owned company Ramel International who are second on the Ghana Club 100.

The services company rose 62 steps from the last Club 100 awards in 2012 to 2nd in  the 2014 edition  of the Ghana Club 100  organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Council to honor the best companies operating in Ghana.

In an exclusive interview with Pulse Business, Chief Executive Officer of Ramel, Amartey Nunoo- Ameteyfio expressed pleasure at the honour bestowed on his company by the Ghana Investment  Promotion Council,

Pulse Business: What will you put such massive success down to

Pulse Business: You are competing with many multinationals who have a bigger capital capacity than you do. How were you able to maneuver what people have described as difficult economic times.

Ramel Business Services and Travel and Tours was founded 12 years ago by Mrs Aurora Nuno-Amarteifio as a leading conference and event management company. It is committed to providing professional management solutions of the highest quality.

Under the leadership of the current Board represented by the Managing Director, Mr. Amartey Nuno-Amarteifio, Ramel Business Services has been renamed the Ramel International Group.

Oil and gas explorations giant, Tullow Ghana Ltd ranked number one at the fourteenth Ghana Club 100 awards held Thursday.In second place is Ramel International Group, a giant leap from number 64 on the 2012 list. The multi-services firm provides travel and tours services, conference organization, airline ticketing among others.Manufacturing firm, Multi-Pro Private Ltd ranks number three.

Ramel International Group has been redesigned into specialized service oriented businesses such as Conference Services, Airline Ticketing Services, Car Rental Services, Tour Services, Hotel Reservation Services, Staffing Services and Equipment Rental Services. Over the years, Ramel has acquired considerable experience and has a track record in organizing and hosting successful conferences.

It is an industry leader in supplying a wide range of support services for both local and international organizations and institutions.

The Ghana Club 100, spearheaded by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), is an annual list of top 100 companies in Ghana. The first list was compiled in 1998 to recognise the best companies in the different sectors of Ghana’s economy. The awards also aims at encouraging competition and improve products and services.
