The board of indigenous bank, uniBank has appointed Dr Kwabena Duffuor II as its new Managing Director (MD).
According to Accra-based Citi FM, a letter signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Opoku-Gyamfi Boateng indicated that the appointment takes effect from June 1, 2017.
Dr Duffuor II succeeds Mr Felix Nyarko-Pong who ends his tenure on June 1, 2017.

Mr Nyarko-Pong has been the MD since 2011.
Before his appointment, Dr. Duffour II was the Chief Operating Officer of the bank.

In his role as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Dr Duffuor II assisted the MD in leading the Management team.
He has also played a key role in helping the bank to attain its current enviable position within the banking fraternity.
His appointment is subject to the approval of the Bank of Ghana.
