Dr John Kofi Mensah appointed to head ADB

A letter from the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, addressed to the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori Atta, says steps should be taken “to regularise the said appointment in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Companies Act and the Company’s Regulation.”

President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed Dr John Kofi Mensah as Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank.

He will be replacing Daniel Asiedu, who was appointed to the position in March 2016.

Dr John Mensah has 25 years of banking experience cutting across both the private and public sector.

Dr John Kofi Mensah is the Executive Chairman of Family Fountain Assets and Securities Limited.

He started his career as an Economic Research Officer at the Bank for Housing and Construction. He later became the Treasury Officer.

In 2011, he joined First Capital Plus as the Chief Executive Officer after resigning from uniBank as Deputy Managing Director.

He holds an MSc. degree in Banking and Finance from FINAFRICA in Milan, Italy and a BA degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
