Ghana would allow domestic airlines into its domestic air travel space from a short to a medium term span, the Ministry of Aviation has announced.
This would give Ghana a competitive edge as a keen force in the aviation industry across Africa.
The government’s priority to make Ghana an aviation hub within the sub-region demands tough policy decisions such as tax cuts to reduce the cost of operation in the country, the Deputy Minister of Aviation, Kwabena Okyere Darko said.

‘This is a great opportunity to invite other stakeholders to invest in Ghana” he added.
The Minister also highlighted the president’s vision of increasing the free movement of people and goods across the West African coast adding that partnerships with transport and aviation organizations as well as countries in the region would provide the mechanism for that to happen.
