Rock a turban and keep the dust out your hair

In contemporary times, wearing a turban is a not so new trend for people who live in the city and are largely influenced by the dynamics of the fashion scene.

The harmattan is here and the air is dry and dusty.  Yet you can achieve a hot bold look and at the same time protect your hair from getting dry and the dust. Most people don’t realise that their hair or hair accessory either makes or breaks an outfit.

You may be wearing the sexiest outfit or drop dead gorgeous designer outfit that every woman dreams of but if you’re having a bad hair day it will just ruin your entire look.

Nobody wants to see flying strands of hair or unkempt dirty hair.  Make sure you look hot this cold harmattan season, while visiting family and friends during the Christmas break.

Consider wearing a turban! It is a simple headwear formed by winding of cloth. There are different variations of it and it’s usually worn as a customary headwear as is the case in the Middle East, North Africa and other parts of the world.

In other cultures, they are worn for religious reasons. For example in Islamic cultures turbans are worn by men so as to emulate the Prophet Muhammed who is believed to have worn a black or white turban.

Fashion draws inspiration from many cultures and so go ahead try on a turban. But, bear in mind that tying a turban draws attention to oneself so if you’re not feeling very confident this look might not be for you.

It’s ideal for everyone and will help cover up bald hair, messy hair, serve as an alternative to wigs and give you that new look  and keep the dust out this harmattan season.
