An accident involving workers of the newly inaugurated Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central Region has reportedly killed one person and injured several others.
The incident occurred around 7:00pm on Monday when the Kia truck [GR 878 -11] they were travelling in overturned on a hill at Apewosika in the Komenda-Edina-Aguafo-Abirem area, Accra-based Onua FM reports.
The over 70 workers who were on board the truck have been rushed to the Central Regional Hospital for treatment.
The body of the deceased, who is yet to be identified, has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue.
