Hearts of Oak are ready to part ways with head coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi

Sources close to the team have told Pulse Sports Yatsuhashi’s position has become untenable after a series of clashes with management of the club.

The latest incident that seems to have pushed the Japanese maverick out involved him refusing to turn up for a visit from the owner of the team, Tobge Afede.

Hearts of Oak appointed Kenichi Yatsuhashi at the start of the Ghana Premier League season. The manager’s pre-season training session on the beach and ‘Sushi’ football style took nation by storm.

The Japanese trainer also started the Ghana Premier League season with a bang despite some lukewarm pre-season results for the Accra based club.

Hearts of Oak played their opening five games of the Ghana Premier League season without a defeat and just one draw with the 3-2 comeback win against Inter Allies receiving special plaudits.

A defeat against Wa All Stars, crowd violence at the Accra Sports Stadium coupled with Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s rants on Facebook concerning salary issues has not gone down well with management of the club.

Management of Hearts of Oak are ready to part ways with Kenichi Yatsuhashi and start the search for a new manager.

Hearts of Oak have won six of their ten Premier League games, drawing two and losing two under coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi.

The club’s defeat came against top rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko who won by a goal to nil at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Hearts of Oak have also been fined GHS 12,000 by the Ghana Football Association for their misconduct in the Ghana Premier League game against Wa All Stars in April. Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s team will also play their next three home games behind closed doors.
