Ashgold fans charge on Bashiru Hayford and playing body

Ashgold have had a poor start to their title defence, having won just a game in 7 matches, losing 2 and drawing 4, coupled with their early exit from the CAF Champions League.

The poor show has been attributed to several reasons such as inadequate funds and poor technical direction.

Pressure has been piling up at Obuasi, especially after their humiliating 5-1 defeat at Dansoman and the fans got frustrated to witness their idol club hammered at home by new entrants to end their 2 years home invincibility.

“Bashiru Hayford must go; he is not a good coach. We don’t owe any player in terms of salaries and allowances, so why should they fail to get us the results.

“Bashiru Hayford is not in good terms with some of the players, especially Atto Bissah, whom he has clashed with over a lady.

“The players too should stay in the dressing room, because we will deal with them when they come out. If the team is not careful we will not come to support them in our next game against New Edubiase” the angry Ashgold fans shanted after their 0-1 defeat to Dreams FC.

Ashgold will stay at the Len Clay Sports Stadium, but as the away side as they take on New Edubiase United on match day 8 of the Ghana Premier League in the upcoming weekend.
